Job summary

SYSTRA Canada, a leader in transport infrastructure, seeks a Design Manager for the Transit division in Toronto. You will oversee design deliverables, coordinate with the Design Lead and stakeholders, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery during development.

The role requires eight+ years in PM for heavy rail projects and close collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Permanent position based in Toronto with a focus on brownfield redevelopment, risk management, and standards

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree in applied science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum eight (8) years’ project management experience in heavy passenger rail transit design, construction and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Delivers project technical strategies with administrative and discipline-specific support to ensure coordination and successful completion.
• Manages development and implementation phases, coordinating with Managers and project teams.
• Reviews plans and documents to coordinate projects with strategic objectives.
• Implements standards, monitors milestones, and reports project status to the Director.
