Job summary

Matchtech North America seeks a Systems Integration Lead for Toronto or Vancouver–based opportunities. You will oversee integration of rail rapid transit systems, with 12–15 years of leadership experience across design, procurement, installation and commissioning.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interfaces with civil structures, signaling, power systems and O&M facilities, ensuring successful testing and delivery milestones.

Qualifications

The Systems Integration Lead will have a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in managing systems integration of major rapid rail transit projects, with demonstrated experience leading teams applying optimized systems engineering processes to the delivery of infrastructure projects.

What You Will Do Here
  • Execute Systems Engineering processes to deliver successful project outcomes, including requirements management, interface management, validation and verification, configuration management and progressive assurance.
  • Lead teams responsible for design, procurement, installation, integration, configuration, testing, and commissioning of rail rapid transit Systems.
  • Lead the integration and interface of the Systems with civil structures, elevated guideway, tunnels, stations, O&M facilities, as well as with the existing rail rapid transit systems in revenue operation.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary internal engineering resources on the projects
  • Manage the successful delivery of Design interface requirements
  • Effectively communicate expectations, track performance of engineering team and subcontractors, and take proactive measures to address technical challenges.
  • Engage with the Testing and Commissioning team at key stages to ensure success of the Testing and Commissioning program.
  • Interface with the Systems Design Team and others to determine schedules, monitor design progress, support systems integration, and coordinating the procurement, installation, and T&C activities.
  • Provide oversight and support for various stages of systems testing.
  • Support various transit related pursuits from the perspective of Systems Integration.
What You Will Bring to The Team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or all other equivalent training
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in leading systems integration teams, in the rail industry preferably on LRT\and rapid transit projects
  • Understanding of Private Public Partnership (P3) and other typical contractual structures for the delivery of rail and transit infrastructure projects.
  • Direct working knowledge of trackwork systems, as well as other rail systems such as signaling and automatic train controls, communications systems, and propulsion power supply systems.
  • Professional registration as an Engineer.
  • Experience with AREMA, ISO, CENELEC, MIL-STD, and IEEE standards.
  • Must be a fast learner and could navigate and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Must be result-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
