Job description

Job Description : Radiologic Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist performs medical exams using X-rays or other diagnostic imaging techniques on patients to produce images of specific body parts. These images are then interpreted by physicians for diagnosis and disease monitoring. Working under direct supervision, this role involves preparing patients for exams, positioning patients correctly, operating imaging equipment, and minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician instructions regarding imaging areas.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures, alleviating anxiety and enhancing understanding.
• Properly position patients and adjust equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed to prevent unnecessary exposure.
• Adhere to proper techniques, including patient shielding, to ensure accurate diagnostics.
• Complete documentation for each procedure to maintain proper records and facilitate communication among healthcare providers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related program.
