Job summary

Securitas Canada is seeking a casual Quick Responder Team (QRT) Security Guard for the Calgary area. The role involves responding to calls on short notice, patrolling sites, and maintaining safety and security for client properties and personnel.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle. The position offers flexible day/evening/night shifts and potential progression to full-time in the future.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls on short notice to cover open shifts as operationally required.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at client sites, ensuring safety.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify irregularities and inspect safety systems.
• Maintain order and enforce site regulations for personnel, visitors and premises.
• Control access to client sites following established procedures.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or vehicle, check for hazards and breaches.
• Provide excellent customer service while protecting property and people.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems and video surveillance software.
• Use computer systems to monitor sites, complete reports and training.
• Protect evidence and secure incident scenes during accidents and investigations.
• Respond to alarms and incidents according to policy and site procedures.
• Complete accurate incidents and daily activity reports.

We are seeking casual QRT/Security Guard for the CALGARY area.

Hours are not guaranteed initially; however, there is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to transition into a full-time position in the near future.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls on short notice to cover open shifts as operationally required.
• Observe and report all activities and incidents at assigned client sites, ensuring the security and safety of property, assets, and personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify irregularities and inspect security systems, protective devices, and fire safety equipment.
• Maintain order and enforce site regulations, directives, and procedures related to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Control access to client sites and facilities by following established access control procedures.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or in a vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security breaches, blocked exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized individuals.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring the protection of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Monitor intrusion detection systems using alarm monitoring and video surveillance software.
• Utilize computer systems and software to monitor sites, complete reports and documentation, and participate in required training programs.
• Protect evidence and secure incident scenes during accidents, emergencies, and security-related investigations.
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in accordance with company policies and site procedures.
• Complete accurate and detailed incidents, occurrence, and daily activity reports.

Qualifications

• Valid Security Guard License.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Available for short notice shifts and 24/7 scheduling.
• Strong decision-making, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.
