Job summary

Securitas Canada is seeking a Full-Time Security Guard – Quick Responder Position in Winnipeg, MB. Join a global leader in security services and contribute to on-site guarding, mobile patrols, and remote guarding operations.

Responsibilities include responding to calls on short notice, patrolling, controlling site access, monitoring alarms, and reporting incidents. Valid license, First Aid/CPR, and a vehicle are required; shift availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard license.
• Must have valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a vehicle.
• Available for shifts on short notice and at various times.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• 1+ years of security experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to write routine logs/reports.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.

Responsibilities

• Preserves order and enforces site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises.

• Delivers excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems and alarms; uses monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incidents during accidents or investigations.

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.

• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• 1 or more years of security experience (preferred)

• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
