Job summary

Securitas Canada is seeking a Security Guard – Quick Responder for Winnipeg, MB. The role focuses on rapid response to calls, site patrols, and protecting client assets while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, controlling access, and reporting incidents. The position requires a valid provincial guard license, First Aid/CPR, and a vehicle for on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Requires valid provincial Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Driver's license with no restrictions and access to a vehicle.
• Able to take shifts on short notice and have 24/7 availability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• 1+ year security experience preferred.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to write logs/reports.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls on short notice to fill open shifts.
• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring safety of property and personnel.
• Performs periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may enforce regulations and directives for the site.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or by vehicle, checking for hazards and security violations.
• Provides excellent customer service while minimizing risk to client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Preserves evidence or scene of incident in emergencies or investigations.

• Responds to calls on short notice, to fill open shifts as required.
• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

Qualifications

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard License
• Must have a valid First Aid and CPR Certification
• Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Must have a vehicle
• Must be available to take shifts assigned on short notice
• Must have 24/7 open working availability
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• 1 or more years of security experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols
