Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited is hiring Security Guards for the Medicine Hat area. The positions require observing and reporting activities, patrolling sites, and controlling access to client locations.

Applicants should have a valid Class 5 driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. Comprehensive training and immediate on-the-job learning are provided.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to write routine logs and reports.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to walk, stand and conduct patrols.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Must have valid driver license and vehicle.
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protective devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

We are seeking SECURITY GUARDS FOR MEDICINE HAT AREA.

• No security guard license?
• We provide full support to help you get certified.
