Qualifications

Job description

Printpack's manufacturing plant located in Elgin, IL, is seeking a qualified candidate for the Quality Technician position. This is a 2nd shift role (3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday).

There is an additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT shift only, between 7pm-7am. Hours worked outside this window will not receive the premium.

Key responsibilities:

1. The QA Technician will monitor the printing, laminating, and slitting processes, advising manufacturing associates when the process is out of control or outside acceptable limits.
2. The technician will record measurements using various measuring and recording devices, including equipment calibrations, lab data sheets, and solution preparations.

Minimum requirements:

• Previous quality experience
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods
• Knowledge of production processes (preferred)
• Self-directed and capable of multi-tasking
• Teamwork skills
