Job summary

ABSA, the pressure equipment safety authority, seeks auditors for the Edmonton region to join a technical team reviewing quality management systems of pressure equipment fabricators and service providers. This role involves in-service and new construction audits with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in quality control, knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, and familiarity with AB-513/AB-518.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of industry experience in quality control.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015.
• Working knowledge of ABSA’s AB-513 and AB-518 documents.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Technology savvy and able to sign electronic documents.
• Alignment with ABSA values: safety, teamwork, discipline, curiosity, integrity.

Responsibilities

• Audit quality management systems of fabricators and service entities for pressure equipment.
• Interact with manufacturers to review control processes and compliance.
• Apply established policies to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.
• Lead and coach others without relying on authority while maintaining professionalism.
• Communicate technical requirements clearly and manage multiple projects.
