About the opportunity :

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection of products to ensure they meet established quality standards. Inspections are completed through visual and physical testing. The role works closely with manufacturing plant and distribution center.

The attributes we are looking for :

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Document and communicate inspection results.
  • Gather samples for testing and analysis, or for shipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform work within specification of production and quality documentation to ensure product quality and food safety.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing and walking for prolonged periods, and repetitively lifting and transferring materials weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the work area, including set up and operation of the work area.

What you will bring :

  • Secondary / Highschool
  • 2-3 years experience in quality control or a related field within food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, including reach truck operation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to apply standards and follow procedures and training materials accurately.
  • Proven initiative, experience, and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on tasks when monitoring product or material attributes
