Job Summary:

The Lead Inspector/CMM Programmer inspects precision components to ensure they meet specified requirements and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The role involves inspecting precision fabricated components, MRB-routed products, and other requirements such as outside processes, using various inspection tools and machines, including surface plates and CMMs.

Responsibilities include performing first article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections.

The candidate must be capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Effective communication of inspection results to manufacturing and other departments is essential, along with serving as a technical inspection liaison for specific issues and requests.

Proficiency in using a variety of precision inspection equipment, such as CMMs and non-contact instruments (optical comparators, vision systems), is required.

The role may include additional responsibilities as directed by the Quality Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
• Effective management of multiple projects and tasks.
• Strong shop math and computer skills.
• Mastery of relevant manufacturing and quality concepts, including advanced blueprint reading, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, CAD familiarity, and high-level problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inspection, including operation and programming of CMMs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or advanced education preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environments within the medical device, semiconductor, and marine industries, with ISO13485 and ISO9001 standards, is desirable.
• Must be neat, organized, and able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
