Job Summary:
The Lead Inspector/CMM Programmer inspects precision components to ensure they meet specified requirements and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The role involves inspecting precision fabricated components, MRB-routed products, and other requirements such as outside processes, using various inspection tools and machines, including surface plates and CMMs.
Responsibilities include performing first article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections.
The candidate must be capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Effective communication of inspection results to manufacturing and other departments is essential, along with serving as a technical inspection liaison for specific issues and requests.
Proficiency in using a variety of precision inspection equipment, such as CMMs and non-contact instruments (optical comparators, vision systems), is required.
The role may include additional responsibilities as directed by the Quality Manager.
