Title: Quality Control Inspector (Aerospace/Medical)

Job Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Quality Control Inspector include performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, including raw material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection. The inspector will verify job traveler operations and prepare standard documentation for reporting inspection data. Interaction with other departments is required to provide feedback and clarify inspection acceptance criteria.

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ontario, CA. The inspector will ensure product quality through inspections, quality management, and adherence to standards, while communicating effectively with the production team to maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Perform First Article Inspections, In-Process Inspections, and Final Inspections.
2. Use correct methods, tools, and criteria for inspections.
3. Verify production parts against engineering drawings, inspection checklists, work instructions, and customer specifications.
4. Prepare inspection certificates and reports using standard documentation.
5. Prepare AS 9102 Aerospace First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
6. Identify and segregate nonconforming materials, ensuring proper documentation and recording.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control inspection.
• Proficiency with inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, pin gauges, measuring tapes, durometers, and scales.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 specifications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev. D, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 – AQL, and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Familiarity with NCR, CAR, 5-whys, fishbone analysis, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and materials like foam, plastics, adhesives, and rubber.
• Experience with CMM operation/programming is a plus.
