The individual will be responsible for performing inspections primarily on incoming/outgoing products to ensure customer specifications are met, company quality standards are followed, and are consistent according to ISO and safety requirements.
A day in the life of a quality inspector on the first shift at CMC would include signing off on first piece samples for production, conducting roving inspections of all running machines in buildings 3 and 4 on the second shift until buildings are consolidated. It may be necessary to inspect raw materials, conduct hardness testing, or utilize the Keyence Vision System for inspections. This position requires the quality inspector to understand how to use calipers, thread gauges, pin gauges, torque, and ring gauges.
Basic understanding of how to read and interpret blueprints and how to use calipers.
