Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk, the Quality Specialist will work collaboratively with leaders and their teams to support and improve Quality and Patient Safety at Southlake Regional Health Centre through guidance, support, subject matter expertise, and education.

The role involves working with teams (staff, physicians, patients, and families) across the organization to analyze current and future workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and design, develop, test, and implement change ideas aligned with organizational priorities in partnership with patients and families.

The successful candidate will be innovative and patient-centered, leading and promoting patient safety initiatives using engagement strategies, Lean, and Quality Improvement methodologies. They will develop or modify processes and policies to meet strategic goals, support team leadership, and contribute to the organization's accreditation process.
