Job summary

Velan Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Quality Control Documentation to ensure the compilation and integrity of required client documentation.

The role reports to the Director of Quality Control and involves coordinating documentation across production, including test reports, certificates of conformity, and inspection records. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in QC/documentation in manufacturing, strong Excel and Office skills, and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Technical degree with 3–5 years in quality control and documentation in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong documentation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Record order documentation requirements per QCI issued by QA department.
• Gather production documents (test/inspection reports, Certificates of Conformity) per customer needs.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of documents and obtain missing items.
• Collaborate with production managers to resolve documentation issues and support delivery schedules.
• Coordinate production stoppage schedules with customer representatives as needed.
• Work with Third Party Inspectors during on-site inspections to resolve compliance issues.
• Maintain QC document databases, update files, generate periodic reports and share via Velan Central.
• Archive documents for future reference and research.
