Hours: 37.5/week
Salary: $92,008 - $108,245 per annum (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Status: Permanent Full Time

Position Summary

The Quality Coordinator acts as a key facilitator and resource for the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology Quality Program. The principal responsibilities include: developing and providing ongoing support for DMOH Quality strategy; helping to foster a quality and safety reporting culture; helping to develop and disseminate metrics; providing administrative support to the DMOH Quality Committee and various sub-committees; managing DMOH Quality Program communication; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested. This is a hybrid model position.

Duties
  1. Develop the DMOH Quality Strategy including advancing current priority areas in addition to helping support future directions.
  2. Foster a safety and reporting culture by supporting and mentoring staff and physicians with safety event reporting, conducting QI audits, and attending safety event debriefs.
  3. Develop and disseminate metrics including ones driven by DMOH Quality, UHN, and Ontario Health.
  4. Provide administrative support to the DMOH Quality Committee and sub-committees by planning agendas, preparing and disseminating meeting packages, and taking minutes.
  5. Manage communication from the DMOH Quality Committee to hospital leadership, DMOH staff, and physicians. Update and maintain relevant internal and external websites.
Qualifications
  • At minimum completion of a four-year bachelor's degree in project management, healthcare administration, or recognized equivalent required.
  • Project Management training or certification preferred.
  • At minimum over 4 years up to and including 6 years of practical and related experience and/or 2 years on-the-job training required.
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database, and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment and teaching hospital an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to produce high-quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure required.
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player required.
  • Ability to perform duties in a self-directed manner required.
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and standards required.
