Qualifications

What is the Opportunity?

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated joint venture of Aecon and Atkinsrea, located in Kincardine, Ontario. It leads the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program that replaces core components of six reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station, part of the Life Extension Program that extends operation to 2064. The Quality Inspector will oversee all quality functions and duties related to FCFR construction activities under the JV QA Program, reporting to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor.

What You'll Do Here

• Participate in the execution of the Inspection and Test Plans.
• Perform quality inspections in accordance with applicable codes and customer specifications.
• Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:
  • Dimensional inspections
  • Visual welding inspection
  • Hardness testing
  • Positive material identification
  • Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required
  • Internal weld monitoring as required
• Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
• Track non‑conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost‑of‑quality tracking system.

What You Bring To The Team

• Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at a university or college level.
• W178 Level 1 or 2 visual weld inspection (preferred).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ISO 9001 and CWB.
• Assets include previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a nuclear‑qualified warehouse and clean room.

Pay Range

$35–$55 per hour. Individual pay is determined based on work location, education, experience, unique skills, and job conditions, including certifications and specialized training.
