Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Quality Control Inspector for the Darlington New Nuclear Project. You will generate inspection plans, interpret drawings, verify material conformance, and document inspection results on a major nuclear program.

The role requires 1-3 years in the mechanical field, weld inspection credentials, and experience with ASME/BPV codes and ISO 9001; strong communication and organizational skills are essential. On-site work enviroment with safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in the mechanical field.
• W178 Level 2 visual weld inspection.
• Experience with ASME Code, B & PV plus Nuclear/ISO 9001 and CWB.
• Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Understands design and construction requirements.
• Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal organization departments, alliance partners, subcontractors and regulatory authorities.

• Support with the preparation of history file or history docket.
• Promote safety awareness including adherence to safety rules and requirements.
• Perform other activities as required by management.

Mechanical Quality Control Inspector – Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP)

As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project. Beginning in 2023, Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

• Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
