Job summary

Day & Ross is seeking a Load Quality Coordinator to support the Terminal Load Quality Program in Lachine, QC. You will help maintain data capture files, review outbound loads for accuracy, and support terminal management in improving efficiency and safety of load securement.

The role requires 3-5 years in a transportation service environment, strong communication, analytical and reporting skills, and proficiency with MS Office and database tools.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or post-secondary education or combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ prior experience in a transportion service industry.
  • Excellent communications skills and expertise in interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated analysis and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated PC skills: Microsoft Office-Excel, Word, Access, reporting software and/or other software/database skills.
  • Strategic creative problem solver who is innovative, data-driven and improvement-oriented.
  • Strong analysis skills with demonstrated attention to detail attributes.
  • Display tact and diplomacy in handling internal and external interaction.
  • Work effectively as a team member, or individually as required, in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to manage workload is required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Load Factor Program; reviewing all outbound loads to ensure the accurate capture of data and meeting load density requirement.
  • Conducts analysis of load to determine that weights, cubes are within regulation.
  • Manages image data captured for terminal operations. Maintains continuous database of load images for reference.
  • Manages database for terminal and regional load factor performance. Provides links to allow acces of information and material to terminal and regional management.
  • Reviews truckload activities to ensure accuracy with weight for revenue purposes.
  • Investigates causes of service actions within terminals and applies codes appropriately.
  • Responsible for daily service report with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

This position will provide support to the Terminal Load Quality Program, including maintenance and management of the data capture and information files. The role will lend administrative support the Terminal Management initiative in increasing the efficiencies and safety of all load securement.The Load Quality Coordinator also supports Terminal Management in reviewing and applying cause codes for service shipments.
