Intermediate QA Analyst (Web / Mobile & Blockchain)

Job Type: Contract

Primary Location: Hybrid Remote – Ottawa, Ontario (on-site work required in Ottawa, as requested)

Job Overview

We currently have an opportunity for an Intermediate Manual Tester with mobile/web application and blockchain experience, supporting a partner in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead development of test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test data.
2. Participate in design reviews, perform integration, functional, and system testing, and verify results.
3. Supervise testing according to established plans.
4. Manage and monitor test plans across all testing levels, emphasizing automation.
5. Establish interoperability testing procedures to ensure software elements conform to standards and do not adversely affect shared infrastructure.
6. Develop validation and verification capabilities for functional and performance compliance.
7. Manage walkthroughs and reviews related to testing and implementation readiness.
8. Report on test status, identify and document defects, and collaborate on defect resolution.
9. Perform regression testing.
10. Coach, mentor, and train team members in testing processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, Process Mapping Software (e.g., MS Visio), SharePoint, Dynamics AX / D365 ERP, Azure DevOps, Cloud applications, Product Lifecycle Management software, and Defect Management Software (e.g., Jira, Footprints).
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
• Knowledge of Blockchain technology is an asset.
• Experience with HRIS applications and Translation Management Systems & Computer Assisted Translation applications is an asset.
• English language proficiency required; bilingualism is an asset.
• Government of Canada Security Clearance highly desirable.
