Job summary

Saint Elizabeth is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to lead testing for in-house apps, integrations, and vendor/SaaS solutions, with emphasis on SIT and test automation using Playwright. The role will initially support a Workday implementation, testing functionality, data flows, and end-to-end business processes.

The 12-month contract offers hybrid work options, CI/CD-driven testing, and collaboration with engineering and business teams to ensure quality across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on software QA experience.
  • Hands-on experience writing, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Experience with SIT across applications, interfaces, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Experience reviewing requirements and translating them into test scenarios and cases.
  • Strong understanding of software testing practices, defect management, and SDLC.

Position Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of testing for in-house applications, integrations, and vendor/SaaS solutions. The role will focus heavily on SIT and test automation, including writing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright.

This position will initially support our Workday implementation, with a strong focus on testing Workday functionality, integrations, data flows, and end-to-end business processes.

Responsibilities:
Software Testing
  • Plan, prepare, and execute testing across different phases of the SDLC.
  • Perform SIT across applications and integrations, including interfaces, APIs, and data flows.
  • Review business requirements, technical specifications, integration designs, and acceptance criteria to determine test coverage.
  • Create test plans, scenarios, test cases, scripts, and expected results for functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and automated testing.
  • Write test cases that cover positive, negative, integration, error handling, and failure scenarios.
  • Write, execute, debug, and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools. Playwright is the primary automation tool used by the QA team.
  • Build and maintain automated regression tests.
  • Validate integrations between systems, including data mappings, transformations, interface processing, error handling, logging, and notifications.
  • Use SQL to validate backend data, integration results, and data integrity.
  • Investigate application, integration, and data defects and work with engineering teams, vendors, and other technical teams through resolution.
  • Document defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
  • Prepare and maintain test data required for manual and automated testing.
  • Log and track test execution, defects, and supporting evidence using the appropriate QA tools.
  • Communicate test progress, defects, risks, blockers, and dependencies to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support UAT where required, including test preparation, defect management, and coordination with business participants.
  • Confirm that solutions meet business, functional, technical, and integration requirements before QA sign-off.
  • Write reusable and maintainable automated tests and contribute to the maintenance of automated regression suites.
  • Support automated test execution through CI/CD pipelines.
Quality Assurance Operations
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the QA team's Playwright automation framework.
  • Use JIRA, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Participate in defect triage and work with technical teams to investigate and resolve issues.
Planning
  • Participate in estimating and planning QA activities, including SIT, regression, automation, and release testing.
  • Identify testing dependencies, risks, environment requirements, and test data needs that may impact testing or delivery timelines.
  • Provide input into testing scope and priorities based on requirements, change impact, and risk.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or another technically relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on software QA experience.
  • Hands-on experience writing, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation tools. Playwright experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience with SIT across applications, interfaces, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Experience reviewing business and technical requirements and translating them into test scenarios and test cases.
  • Strong understanding of software testing practices, defect management, and the SDLC.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, integration, E2E, and regression testing.
  • Experience validating integrations and data across multiple systems, including mappings, transformations, error handling, and downstream impacts.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to query and validate backend data.
  • Ability to investigate application, integration, and data issues and work with technical teams to troubleshoot defects.
  • Experience with programming or scripting concepts used in test automation.
  • Experience using Git or another source control platform.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
  • Experience working in Agile or other structured software delivery environments.
  • Experience testing Workday implementations, releases, or integrations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with API testing is an asset.
  • Healthcare industry experience is an asset but not required.
