Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a QA Automation professional to perform end-to-end testing and data validation for Basel III regulatory reports in a banking context.

You will validate data accuracy and mappings, develop strategies and tests for complex datasets, and collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and developers to ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes automation with Python, SQL, and GitHub Copilot, and requires strong experience in data-centric QA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end QA and data validation for Basel III and regulatory reports.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reports (BCAR, NCR, Pillar III, LRR).
• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and cases for complex datasets.
• Execute data-level QA using SQL to validate source-to-target mappings and calculations.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and developers on regulatory logic and tests.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution and regulatory compliance.
• Automate regression and data validation tests using Python-based frameworks where applicable.
• Leverage automation tools to improve productivity and coverage; align with data governance.

Must Have Skills

• good years’ experience in QA testing automation, with at least good yearswithin Banking or Capital Calculations
• good years strong hands-on experience with Basel III regulatory reporting
• Strong understanding of financial products, risk metrics, and regulatorycalculations
• good years extensive experience in data-centric QA automation and validation
• good years advanced SQL experience (joins, subqueries, aggregations,performance tuning)

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Experience as a QA Lead having led atleast 1 automation project
• Strong experience validating large regulatory and financial datasets
• Ability to automate QA testing using Python
• Experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and automation

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Typical Day in Rol ePerform end-to-end QA and data validation for Banking andCapital Calculations regulatory reporting systems
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for Basel III and OSFIregulatory reports inclu ding BCAR, NCR, Pillar III and LRR
• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complexfinancial and regulatory datasets
• Perform data-level QA using complex SQL queries to validate source-to-targetmappings and calculations
• Collaborate with business analysts, regulatory SMEs, data engineers, anddevelopers to understand regulatory logic and testing requirements
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring regulatorycompliance
• Participate in regulatory audits, reviews, and validation exercises Automateregression and data validation tests using Python-based frameworks (whereapplicable)
• Leverage automation tools and GitHub Copilot to improve QA productivity andcoverage
• Ensure alignment with data governance, controls, and regulatory changemanagement processes
