Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a QA Automation professional to lead data validation and regulatory testing for Banking and Capital Calculations. The role emphasizes automation, SQL data checks, and applying Basel III requirements.

The candidate will collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and developers to validate complex datasets, develop test strategies, and automate regression using Python and GitHub Copilot where applicable. Salary range CA$100,000–CA$120,000.

Qualifications

• Good years’ experience in QA automation, with focus on Banking/Capital Calculations.
• Strong hands-on Basel III regulatory reporting knowledge.
• Advanced SQL experience (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance).
• Extensive experience in data-centric QA automation and validation.
• Ability to automate QA testing using Python.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end QA and data validation for Banking and Capital Calculations regulatory reporting systems.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for Basel III and OSFI reports (BCAR, NCR, Pillar III, LRR).
• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and cases for complex financial datasets.
• Create data-level QA using SQL to validate source-to-target mappings and calculations.
• Collaborate with analysts, SMEs, data engineers and developers to understand regulatory logic.

Must Have Skills

• good years’ experience in QA testing automation, with at least good years within Banking or Capital Calculations
• good years strong hands-on experience with Basel III regulatory reporting
• Strong understanding of financial products, risk metrics, and regulatory calculations
• good years extensive experience in data-centric QA automation and validation
• good years advanced SQL experience (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance tuning)

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Experience as a QA Lead having led at least 1 automation project
• Strong experience validating large regulatory and financial datasets
• Ability to automate QA testing using Python
• Experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and automation
• Defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for Basel III and OSFI regulatory reports including BCAR, NCR, Pillar III and LRR
• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex financial and regulatory datasets
• Perform data-level QA using complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target mappings and calculations
• Collaborate with business analysts, regulatory SMEs, data engineers, and developers to understand regulatory logic and testing requirements
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Participate in regulatory audits, reviews, and validation exercises Automate regression and data validation tests using Python-based frameworks (where applicable)
• Leverage automation tools and GitHub Copilot to improve QA productivity and coverage
• Ensure alignment with data governance, controls, and regulatory change management processes
