Job summary

Brymark Installations Group Inc. is a BC-based industrial contractor delivering piping, structural and mechanical systems since 1983. We are seeking a Site QA/QC Inspector to support field quality activities on diverse industrial construction projects in Canada.

You will work with project teams, perform site inspections, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and help ensure all work meets project specs and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Current CWB/CSA W178.2 Level 2 Welding Inspector Certification.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, Quality Management, Welding Technology, Trades, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, CSA Z662, CSA W59, CSA W47.1.
  • Experience performing quality inspections on industrial construction projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, ITPs, and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

In this role, you'll work closely with project teams, conduct field inspections, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and help ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. What You'll Be Doing

As a Site QA/QC Inspector, you will:

  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor and document quality activities throughout the construction process.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate QA/QC records and documentation.
  • Coordinate and track inspections, test results, and quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and document non-conformances and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to achieve project quality objectives.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Coordinate NDT activities, client inspections, and turnover documentation as required.
  • Participate in site audits, surveillance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of project closeout packages and final turnover documentation.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Current CWB/CSA W178.2 Level 2 Welding Inspector Certification.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, Quality Management, Welding Technology, Trades, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge and demonstrated application of:
  • ASME B31.3 - Process Piping
  • ASME B31.4 - Pipeline Transportation Systems
  • CSA Z662 - Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems
  • CSA W59 - Welded Steel Construction
  • CSA W47.1 - Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel
  • Experience performing quality inspections and verification activities on industrial construction projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, welding procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Assets
  • NACE Coating Inspector Program Level 1 certification or equivalent AMPP certification.
  • CSWIP Welding Inspector Level 2 certification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, power generation, mining, ports and terminals, or heavy industrial construction environments.
  • Experience with Technical Safety BC requirements and regulated pressure piping systems.
  • Experience coordinating NDT activities, client inspections, turnover documentation, and quality records.
  • Knowledge of construction quality management systems, auditing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
