Job summary

You will plan, schedule, negotiate contracts, coordinate subcontractors, oversee costs and billing, and maintain client relationships while championing HSE standards. This role offers growth within a BC‑owned company with exposure to multi‑discipline scopes across petrochemical, ports, and mining sectors.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of applied project management experience.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and construction schedules.
  • Heavy industrial experience including process piping (Oil & Gas).
  • Familiarity with equipment used in general contracting, multi‑discipline trades, ports, terminals, and bulk material handling.
  • Strong background in contract documentation, contract review, and financial oversight.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from planning through execution, ensuring safety, quality, and operational success. Your key responsibilities include:

You bring the education, experience, and technical knowledge to lead complex industrial projects confidently.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • PMP designation considered an asset.
  • 7–10 years of applied project management experience.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and construction schedules.
  • Heavy industrial experience including process piping (Oil & Gas).
  • Familiarity with equipment used in general contracting, multi‑discipline trades, ports, terminals, and bulk material handling (e.g., conveyors).
  • Strong background in contract documentation, contract review, and financial oversight.
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules, purchase orders, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent understanding of heavy industrial structural/mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Salary: $130 - $150k per annum

The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
