Base pay range

CA$70,000.00/yr - CA$80,000.00/yr

Our client is a successful metal fabrication company with a long history of providing quality metal fabricated products are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Supervisor - someone with experience directly purchasing MRO.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing with a manufacturing company
• At least 2 years in a Lead or Supervisory role with a focus on MRO purchasing.
• Proficient in using various computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP/MRP systems.
• May require travel to other facilities. Must have clean drivers abstract

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide, mentor, and support the Junior MRO Buyer to achieve departmental objectives.
• Strive to meet cost reduction targets for MRO materials and services to enhance cost competitiveness, including quoting for all divisions where synergies exist.
• Conduct cost and consumption analysis, and inventory rationalization to aid spending controls and inventory production supplies, with weekly reporting.
• Prepare RFQs, analyze data, collaborate with facility leads to understand needs and expectations, negotiate with vendors, and work with plant leads to implement supply/service changes.
