Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking a Public Spaces Associate for the winter season at Blue Mountains, ON. You will clean public areas in hotels and lodges, including floors, carpets, and bathrooms, while delivering friendly guest service.

Role runs November–March, full-time with an hourly rate of $19.52. Training in floor care is an asset; a valid G license is a plus for occasional vehicle duties.

Qualifications

• Training/experience with floor care and maintenance would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleaning of public spaces in hotels, base lodges, offices, Starbucks and surrounding facilities.
• Mop, sweep, vacuum, strip and wax floors.
• Carpet cleaning using spot treatment and larger equipment.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors and floors; replenish bathroom supplies; polish metal fixtures.
• Respond to dispatch calls to clean spills and deliver guest items; remove broken glass.
• Possibly operate a company vehicle if holding a valid G license.

The Public Spaces Associate is responsible for cleaning public areas in the hotels, underground, base lodges, offices, Starbucks, and outlying facilities on resort. They are also responsible for providing exemplary customer service by engaging each guest; providing enthusiastic, friendly service; anticipating guest needs; and taking ownership.* Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors.* Carpet cleaning using spot treatment as well as larger equipment.* Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc., replenish bathroom supplies, and polish metal work, such as fixtures and fittings in public bathrooms within hotel lobbies, base lodges and office buildings.* Respond to calls on hand-held devices from internal dispatch to clean spills, deliver guest items, remove broken glass, etc.* Successful candidates over the age of 18 and hold a valid ‘G’ licence may be requested to perform occasional duties that involve the operation of a company vehicle.**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?*** Training/experience with floor care and maintenance would be an asset.* ‘G’ class driver’s license an asset* Comfortable using large equipment/floor and carpet machines.*\\*This role is being posted to fill a vacant position*
