Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Public Spaces Associate at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario for the seasonal, full-time role. You will maintain cleanliness in hotel public areas, base lodges and offices, while delivering friendly, proactive guest service and support for resort operations.

The position requires experience with floor care and carpet machines; a valid 'G' driver's license is preferred; ensure floors are clean, safe and well-maintained to meet guest expectations during the busy

Responsibilities

• Clean public spaces in hotels, base lodges, offices, and Starbucks.

• Mop, sweep, vacuum, strip and wax floors.
• Carpet cleaning using spot treatment and larger equipment.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors; polish fixtures.

FULL TIME HOUR

• 5 shifts per week
• 8-hour shifts
• November- March

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

This position is essential to the success of the Lodging Department, because it ensures that we are able to provide our guests with clean public spaces in the hotels and base lodges, including carpet and floor maintenance. The Public Spaces Associate is responsible for cleaning public areas in the hotels, underground, base lodges, offices, Starbucks, and outlying facilities on resort. They are also responsible for providing exemplary customer service by engaging each guest; providing enthusiastic, friendly service; anticipating guest needs; and taking ownership.

• Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors.
• Carpet cleaning using spot treatment as well as larger equipment.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc., replenish bathroom supplies, and polish metal work, such as fixtures and fittings in public bathrooms within hotel lobbies, base lodges and office buildings.
• Respond to calls on hand-held devices from internal dispatch to clean spills, deliver guest items, remove broken glass, etc.
• Successful candidates over the age of 18 and hold a valid 'G' licence may be requested to perform occasional duties that involve the operation of a company vehicle.
