Job summary

FSRA in Ontario seeks a Finance professional for a fixed-term, approximately 12 months, to join the Finance Team. You will deliver financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and controllership services across the agency.

Responsibilities include advising on budgets, accounting cycles, policy interpretation, risk management, and process improvements to public reporting. Competitive pension and benefits accompany a 36.25 weekly hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of modern controllership and GAAP in public sector environments.
• Ability to provide financial advice, training, and options on reporting and planning.
• Experience preparing financial documents and supporting management decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and advice to clients on budgets and accounting cycles.
• Communicate agency policies to support effective resource management.
• Advise senior management on controllership policies, risk, audits, and processes.
• Monitor trends and performance, highlighting risks and opportunities for decisions.
• Suggest improvements to controls and reporting to enhance accuracy and compliance.
