Job summary

Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is seeking a Finance professional for a 12-month fixed-term role. You will provide financial analysis, budgeting support, and controllership guidance, delivering timely reporting and insights to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of modern controllership and GAAP, accrual accounting, and public sector rules.
• Experience providing financial advice, training, and options on reporting and planning.
• Proven ability to prepare financial documents and communicate policies to clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and advice to support budget control, annual accounting, and in-year performance.
• Communicate agency policies to support effective management of financial resources.
• Advise senior management on controllership policies, risk management, auditing and related issues.
• Monitor trends and performance; advise on risks, pressures, and opportunities.
• Recommend improvements to processes and databases to enhance integrity of public reporting.
