Public Sector Account Manager

The Impact You'll Have:

A Public Sector Account Manager (PSAM) manages, maintains, and grows a targeted client base, working closely with an Account Executive to satisfy customer needs through proactive account management, outstanding service, and sales growth. PSAMs act as consultants, negotiators, and partners, especially with our largest, most active public sector clients, managing complex contracts and procurement processes.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing day-to-day relationships within existing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  2. Achieving and exceeding sales quotas and gross profit targets.
  3. Identifying and closing incremental business opportunities.
  4. Growing vendor relationships within strategic clients.
  5. Performing complex contract management and facilitating interactions between clients and vendors.
  6. Promoting Softchoice services, tools, and technology offerings.
  7. Supporting lead generation efforts with Account Executives.
  8. Participating in product and licensing training.
  9. Delivering presentations to clients and vendors, understanding Softchoice's value proposition, and aligning strategies with client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience and customer service experience.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
