Our client, a rapidly growing Consumer Goods – Confectionery & Snacking company, is looking to hire a National Account Manager to join their team on a Permanent, Full-time basis.
The National Account Manager will ideally live in the Greater Vancouver Area or Calgary and will be responsible for managing a number of Regional accounts including; Save-On Foods, London Drugs, Sobey’s, Federated Co-op, Loblaws (Westfair), Circle K (Calgary), 711, Husky, Shell. This will be a remote, home-office role, with the company’s head office located in Mississauga, ON.
Reporting into the Director of Sales & Strategic Planning, the National Account Manager will be responsible for delivering growth, profit, market share, and revenue targets at assigned accounts via a strong fact-based analytical sales approach.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans with your customers and deliver quick resolution to issues, while identifying and capturing opportunities.
- Develop processes and strategies to optimize the resources and results with National and Regional customers.
- Use systems, technologies & standard methodologies to streamline and optimize reporting and sales processes.
- Use in-depth analysis to provide feedback on monthly, quarterly forecasts with accuracy.
- Cross-collaborate with internal teams to maximize efficiencies.
- Assist with planogram, pricing, promotional, and category management activities as needed.
- Support the development of e-commerce programs within National and Regional Accounts.
- Develop and refine strategic selling skills, building towards future responsibility growth within large National Accounts.
Education:
- Post-Secondary Education, with a preference for a business degree.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of National Account Management experience for consumer goods.
- Experience selling into Western retailers including; Save-On Foods, London Drugs, Sobey’s, Federated Co-op, Loblaws (Westfair), Circle K (Calgary), 711, Husky, and Shell.
- Proven success in developing, presenting, and implementing business plans.
- Proven success in directly managing and selling to national retailers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate travel and customer requirements.
