An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Public Health Dietitian to enhance community health through nutrition. This role involves assessing and promoting health, preventing nutrition-related diseases, and working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Food Sciences or Nutrition, be a Registered Dietitian, and have experience in community development and health promotion. Reporting to the Population and Public Health (PPH) Manager or designate, and working in the community setting, the Public Health Dietitian uses a population health approach to assess, promote, protect, and enhance health and prevent nutrition-related diseases.
Travel is required for this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
