Scheduling Requirements

• 12‑hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Flexible for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred.
• Commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
• Ready to see multiple clients throughout the day.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide personal care as outlined in clients’ care plans.
• Offer companionship and light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals in accordance with client or family requests.
• Assist with activities of daily living, bathing, grooming, linen changes.
• Help with transfers, ambulation, and exercises.
• Use equipment safely and meet client safety needs.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable car for daily work.
• Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• PSW certification from an approved educational institution.
• Negative TB test completed within the last year.
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion.

• Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, diphtheria, and hepatitis B.
• Valid criminal record check within the last year.
• Good judgment, ability to work independently and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Current/valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset.
