Job summary

A caregiving service provider in Oakville is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide compassionate, one-on-one care to seniors. You will have the flexibility to create a schedule that suits you while ensuring the highest quality of care. Responsibilities include meal preparation, personal care, and following care plans. The role requires completion of a recognized education program and a valid criminal record check. Competitive pay of $22.08 per hour plus vacation pay is offered, along with ongoing support and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized caregiver education program.
  • Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening issued within the last year.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray within the past 2 years.
  • Two professional references.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Provide companionship and personal care.
  • Follow and execute the client’s care plan.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping

  • Provide companionship and personal care

  • Follow and execute the client’s care plan as designed by the Care Designer

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within scope of practice

  • Support safe transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises

  • Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment

  • Work within your training, experience, and scope of practice

  • Complete accurate and thorough documentation

  • Experience supporting clients with dementia and responsive behaviors is an asset

Position Requirements
  • Completed a recognized caregiver education program
