Qualifications:

1. PSW certification or diploma is required
2. First Aid and CPR Level C certification
3. Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year)
4. Two-step TB test and up-to-date immunizations
5. Strong time management, confidentiality, and professionalism
6. Excellent communication skills to foster relationships with healthcare staff and clients
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Interest in continuous learning; high energy and focus

Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care to clients with compassion, integrity, and quality
2. Support clients in activities of daily living, including meal prep, light housekeeping, and laundry
3. Assist clients with ambulation and transfers safely
4. Perform delegated tasks as required
5. Promote client independence
6. Provide psychological and emotional support
7. Communicate clearly and promptly with clients, families, and stakeholders
8. Ensure a safe environment for clients and staff

Work Conditions:

1. Travel within the community or facility is required
2. Long hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary
