Job Overview

Provide skilled care for all activities of daily living in accordance with corporate policy, established standards, and recognized nursing practice. Assist registered staff with nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures, complete documentation accurately and timely, and ensure a holistic, quality approach to resident care aligned with RhynoCare’s Mission, Vision, Values, and the Resident Bill of Rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident meal service and restorative nursing.
• Coordinate activities for effective resident care during shifts and across the unit.
• Ensure care delivery complies with legislation, best practices, and policies.
• Participate in risk management, quality improvement, and staff mentoring programs.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to all health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in verbal and written English; second language skills are an asset.
• Completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or be an RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapy student who has completed Year 1.
• Experience as a Facility PSW is an asset.
• Negative T.B. test or chest x-ray, current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Meet health surveillance requirements and pass criminal record checks.
