Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide resident care per care plans and support a safe environment. The role involves monitoring care, documenting information, attending trainings, and helping onboard new staff, all while following IPAC policies.

This position contributes to a compassionate, compliant care team across Ontario. Ideal candidates have a PSW certificate or diploma and meet relevant ministry and association standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of sanitation basics and geriatric resident care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor care to ensure alignment with the care plan and report findings to the supervisor.
• Document information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings and workshops.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
