Job summary

Ontario Health is seeking a Director, Cancer Clinical Programs to provide strategic leadership across a diverse provincial portfolio, guiding quality improvement, standards, and system-wide initiatives. You will partner with clinical leaders and stakeholders to implement priorities that improve access, equity and outcomes for cancer care.

The role requires a visionary, person-centred leader with credibility in clinical practice and a track record of driving innovation in complex healthcare

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders across a large system.
• Knowledge of clinical practice guidelines and evidence-based decision-making.
• Senior-level leadership skills in people, process, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the portfolio, including quality improvement and system transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with provincial clinical leads to set priorities and build relationships with clinical experts and partners.
• Establish advisory structures, expert panels, and communities of practice to inform priorities.
• Oversee portfolio planning and allocate human and financial resources.
• Develop and implement evidence-informed clinical guidance, standards, and tools.
• Lead recruitment, performance management, coaching and succession planning for portfolio staff.
