Job summary

Daanaa, a Vancouver-based fabless power electronics company, is seeking a Hardware Engineering Technologist to provide hands‑on support across development, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of our next‑generation hardware. You will build and modify prototype PCBs, conduct electrical testing, and help move products from prototype to production.

You will work with engineers and cross‑functional teams to interpret schematics, set up test fixtures, and document results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with electrical hardware.
• Ability to assemble, solder, rework, wire, modify, and troubleshoot electrical hardware.
• Hands-on experience using lab equipment for electrical testing and characterization.
• Interpret schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, datasheets, mechanical drawings, and instructions.
• High attention to detail and precision in assembly and measurements.
• Experience building or maintaining test fixtures or custom test equipment.
• Own prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with power electronics or PCB assemblies is an asset.
• Engineering degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and rework prototype PCBs and other electrical assemblies.
• Perform soldering, PCB rework, wiring, and heatsink assembly.
• Set up electrical testing using oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads, and power supplies.
• Measure, analyze, and document electrical performance and test results.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues at component, PCB, and system levels.
• Develop and maintain test fixtures and lab setups for development and validation.
• Support prototype builds, validation, and transition to production.
• Interpret schematics, layouts, BOMs, and datasheets for accurate builds.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and procurement to move work forward.
