Save-On-Foods is hiring a Protective Services Guard for locations in Vancouver and North Vancouver, BC. This role focuses on protecting customers, staff, and assets while maintaining a professional presence and quick decision-making in incidents.

You’ll be part of a team that conducts security audits, handles incidents, and ensures compliance with policies. Training, licensing support, and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement is required.
• Strong decision-making skills for quick choices in tough situations.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates integrity, reliability and willingness to go the extra mile.
• AST training and second language ability are assets.

Responsibilities

• Identify theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observe, greet, and assist customers with a customer-first mindset.
• Approach situations calmly and professionally with the public and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits of the building and assets.
• Perform arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries as needed.
• Document evidence and write clear, concise reports.
