Save-On-Foods in Prince George, BC is hiring a Protective Services Guard to help keep our stores safe for customers and teammates. You will identify theft, maintain a secure environment, greet guests, and report incidents with clear documentation.

Successful candidates hold a BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement and demonstrate sound judgment under pressure while communicating well with staff and the public. Assets include AST, second language, or flexible availability.

You will be responsible for:

• Identifying theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observing, meeting and greeting customers.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).

IND2 Compensation Details: $20.00 - $26.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
