Job summary

Save-On-Foods is seeking a Protective Services Guard for our Kelowna, BC locations to protect team members, customers, and operations. You will identify theft and fraud, maintain safety, greet customers, and conduct security audits while upholding professionalism with the public and law enforcement.

The role requires a valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Integrity and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Second language and open availability are assets.

Responsibilities

• Identify theft, mischief, and fraud.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
• Observe, meet and greet customers.
• Approach situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with the public, staff, and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits of the building and assets.
• Perform arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Document evidence and type clear, concise reports.
