Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Protective Services Guard to cover multiple locations within Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. The role requires commuting to various sites in the Lower Mainland on a regular basis.

Responsibilities include identifying theft, maintaining security, and conducting security audits. The position offers paid training, benefits eligibility, and equipment/PPE supplied by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Strong decision-making skills for quick decisions under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Advanced Security Training/AST is an asset.
• Second language ability is an asset.
• Open availability is an asset.

• Observe, meet and greet customers.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Document evidence and produce clear reports as required.

• Observing, meeting and greeting customers.

• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).

Compensation Details

$20.00 - $26.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
