Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a Proposals Coordinator to support our Aecon Utilities division, aiming to become Canada's top utility construction provider. Under the supervision of the Proposals Supervisor, you will coordinate proposal submissions from bid/no bid decisions to contract execution, working closely with Estimators and Operations to ensure high-quality responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main contact with clients, assign deliverables, develop proposal outlines, facilitate kickoff calls, ensure RFP compliance, review and polish documents, manage post-bid clarifications, and coordinate proposals from start to finish.
  • Write proposal sections including summaries, project descriptions, resumes, and support development of new plans with teams.
  • Design graphics using PowerPoint to enhance proposals.
  • Manage proposal content databases via SharePoint and Expedience.
  • Maintain records of proposals, results, and lessons learned.
  • Support business development strategies and pipeline management.
  • Participate in proposal strategy and review sessions.
  • Handle document management of submissions and bid library content.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years of proposal experience, preferably in utilities construction.
  • Ability to manage proposals and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong English writing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with collaborative mindset.
  • APMP Foundation or Practitioner Certification is an asset.
  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or equivalent experience.
