Job summary

WestUrban Developments Ltd. in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a part-time Property Services Assistant to support leasing, admin, cleaning and maintenance coordination for our rental properties under the Property Manager.

The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment, has 1–3 years in multi-residential property management, and is flexible for Sundays and long weekends; occasional travel to Duncan may be required. Salary ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

1-3 years' experience in multi-residential property management
High School Diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel; Buildum experience is a plus
Knowledge of Landlord Tenant Act and building operations, safety standards
Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

Foster a friendly, professional environment for residents, tenants, service providers and contractors with high customer service
Answer calls and messages promptly; address issues within 24-48 hours
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for all properties
Show suites to prospective residents and maintain occupancy
Coordinate maintenance, cleaning services and move-out inspections
Oversee on-site cleaners and coordinate repairs or maintenance
Maintain site cleanliness and manage office supplies
Perform exterior and lobby cleaning; monitor common areas
Enforce building rules and issue notices when needed
Perform additional duties as required
