Job Description:

Are you an experienced - or aspiring - property restoration technician looking for your next opportunity? We are currently seeking a motivated Property Restoration Technician to join our growing team at ServiceMaster of the Valley in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. If you have a passion for helping people restore their homes and businesses after damage, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to emergency property restoration calls, including water, fire, storm, and mould damage
  2. Perform site assessments and damage evaluations
  3. Operate and maintain specialized restoration equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers, extractors)
  4. Execute structural drying, demolition, and repair tasks as needed
  5. Communicate with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction throughout the restoration process
  6. Work with insurance companies to assist with claims processing
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times
  8. Maintain accurate records of services provided and materials used
Requirements:
  1. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  2. Strong knowledge of water, fire, mold remediation, and general restoration processes is an asset, but we will train
  3. IICRC certifications in water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation are a plus, but not required
  4. Familiarity with hand and power tools, drying equipment, deodorization treatments and other methods used in restoration projects
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  6. Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude
  7. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits:
  1. Wages will depend on experience, but starting salary will range from $17-$20 per hour
