The successful candidate will be responsible for coding diseases, operations, procedures and other therapies on inpatient and surgical day care episodes using ICD-10 and CCI classification systems; abstracting demographic and clinical data from health records utilizing CIHI guidelines and 3M electronic abstracting system; and monitoring and evaluating the quality of data submitted and to take corrective action when necessary. Other related duties as required.

Successful completion of a recognized/accredited program in Health Information Management is required.
Current and continuing certification as an accredited Health Information Management Professional from the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) is required.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
