Job summary

Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes – Toronto is hiring a Property Manager Assistant to support the Property Manager in delivering dignified housing services. You will assist with day-to-day tenant relations, repairs coordination, file management and contractor communication in a fast-paced housing environment.

The role emphasizes anti-racism/anti-oppression principles, privacy and dignity for clients, and collaboration with the management team to maintain quality housing services.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in administration services.
• Experience in the non-profit housing sector is preferred.
• Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and substance use.
• RGI calculation and Social Housing Reform Act knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act and LTB process.
• Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word and database management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant inquiries by phone and in person.
• Coordinate unit inspections and repairs with landlords and maintenance staff.
• Set up and maintain housing and organizational files.
• Communicate with service contractors.
• Cover duties of rental clerk during absences.
• Assist with tenant-related issues and budget adherence.
• Coordinate Bed Bug-related activities and monthly tracking.
• Prepare lease signing packages and conduct signings when required.
• Process service requests and close work orders.
