Job summary

CLV Group is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician in Ontario to handle day-to-day minor repairs and preventative maintenance across rental properties. The role supports resident satisfaction through reliable upkeep and timely responses to issues, including after-hours emergency calls.

The position requires a broad skill set in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and finishing work, plus the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong MS-Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and light construction including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and finishing work.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Proficient using a computer and MS-Office.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs to rental properties during occupancy and turnovers.
• Performing routine and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining general upkeep of properties and operating amenities.
• Responding to emergency calls.
• Completing all maintenance work orders.
• Taking initiative to address hazards and perform corrective actions.
• Painting as necessary; landscaping duties as required.
• Ensuring proper disposal of garbage and debris; following health and safety procedures.
• Completing other related duties within the scope of the role.

The Opportunity

This posting is for a current vacancy.

As our Property Maintenance Technician, your main focus is to complete day-to-day minor maintenance repairs, to a high standard, contributing to the overall customer satisfaction of our residents.

Compensation

• $23 – $25/hr based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:

• Performing repairs to rental properties as needed, during occupancy and during the transition of residents from units (turnovers);
• Performing routine and scheduled preventative maintenance of properties;
• Maintaining general upkeep of the properties to ensure all amenities are in good working order and operating to the satisfaction of our residents;
• Responding to emergency calls;
• Completing all approved maintenance related work orders;
• Taking initiative when corrective action is necessary and removing any identified hazards;
• Painting as necessary;
• Landscaping duties as required;
• Ensuring proper disposal of garbage and debris from the properties;
• Ensuring a thorough knowledge and understanding of all health, safety and emergency procedures, and
• Completing other related duties as required and within the scope of the role.

Must Haves

• Working knowledge and professional experience in a wide variety of maintenance and light construction tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and finishing work.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must be proficient using a computer and MS-Office.

Additional Information

• Must have own vehicle with a clean drivers abstract.
• Must have tools necessary to complete all tasks.
• Available and able to work on the rotational emergency on call schedule.
• Evening and weekend hours required from time-to-time.
